I have preached every sermon from it since I purchased it three months ago. I write most sermons in Circus Ponies' Notebook on my Mac using a handwriting font, save as a .pdf and open in Goodreader on the iPad. On one occasion, while preaching away, I finished the sermon on the iPad in Pages and preached straight from it. Love it.
I agree with Steve about wanting Logos to allow cut & paste in the iPad app but it may be a licensing issue.

Nice summary of some key points from the summit. I thought the Jack Welch talk was fantastic (I'm posting my notes from it on Friday). I've already posted notes from Jim Collins & Daniel Pink on http://www.bradfarris.com

Good list Charles. Still a bit heavy in the feelings department.

Meaning, it might be good to balance said list with a job description and performance metrics - that protect a pastor from becoming a catch-all for everyone with a belly-button.

This is assuming that opinions are like belly-buttons, in that everyone has one.

I love these kinds of apps, and this one has been one of my favorites for Android. There's also Relax and Sleep (which lets you create your own mix of sounds), Lightning Bug, White Noise, and Birdsong Radio, which is what I play in the background at home. Birdsong plays streamed sounds, not locally stored sounds.

People that are "looked up to", I believe, wield a greater power when they withhold blessings or words of encouragement. It gives satan an opening for discouragement and division.

I agree with John Ramsey but would also like to add that we ALL have more power to bless than we realize.

I agree with your findings that being in a position of authority gives your 'blessings' an extra weight in many people's minds, but I think that all too often those of us not in a position of authority forget that peer praise is very important too!

Interestingly, 9Marks just referenced a similar list in their link to Gary Lamb's post here; his list was:
— Most pastors struggle with some sort of insecurity.
— Most pastors have no accountability.
— Most pastors live their lives serving everyone except their wife.
— The church has made pastors into rock stars rather than regular men called by God.

The lists seem very complementary to me; your particulars here seem to spell out the path that gets taken when any one of the four issues that Lamb points out become too strong (especially in conjunction with each other).
